Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay administers a nationwide entrance exam called the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) to select students for its Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program.

Every exam holds a set of eligibility requirements, and the same goes for UCEED.
UCEED scorecard is also recognized by many other institutes for admission to B.Des. programs.
UCEED 2024 Exam Pattern
The UCEED exam has mandatory two parts – Part A and Part B.
Part A will be conducted in a computer-based mode that carries 240 marks and has three sections – NAT, MSQ, and MCQ.
Part B will be conducted offline carry 60 marks and include two questions: one on Drawing and the other on Design aptitude.
Note: Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies Part A.

UCEED 2024 Application Form
IIT Bombay will start online registrations for UCEED 2024 tentatively in the last week of September 2023. The UCEED application form is for admission to the M.Des program offered by participating colleges. Registration can be done ONLY through the online registration portal linked from www.UCEED.iitb.ac.in
To fill out the UCEED 2024 application form, the candidate will have to get registered and fill in academic, and personal information.
Application Fee
UCEED 2024 application fee is INR 3,600 for General and INR 1,800 for reserved and female candidates. The candidate has the option to apply with both regular and late fees.
Eligibility Criteria for UCEED
A candidate, including a foreign national, must fulfill the following three criteria to appear in UCEED.
Criterion 1: Age Limit
The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1998, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1993, if belonging to the SC, ST, or PWD category.
Criterion 2: Number of Attempts
A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. Note that UCEED score is valid for one year, and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
Criterion 3: Qualifying Examination
The candidate should have passed all subjects in 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2023, or, the candidate should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2024
Note: Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.
