ABOUT NIFT SITUATION TEST
Shortlisted candidates for B.Des from the 1st Round of entrance exam are required to take a Situation Test which is a Hands-on test to evaluate the candidate’s skills for material handling and innovation ability on a given situation with a given set of materials like wire, thermocol, paper, cotton, board, clay, gift paper etc.
EVALUATION
The model will be evaluated on space visualization, innovation and creative use of given material, composition of elements, color scheme, construction skills, finesse of the model, overall presentation etc. These parameters will be checked with the write-up explaining the concept behind the model constructed. It is mandatory to write it in english only.
DURATION OF THE EXAM
Exam will hold 20% weightage and the duration of the exam is 2 hours.

1. Design a bus stand inspired by the theme “GREEN INDIA”.
2. Make a model to promote “CLEAN INDIA MISSION”
3. Design a workspace of a “DENTIST”.
